Having started my training at the age of 7, I've studied multiple disciplines throughout the years, including Muay Thai, Boxing, Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), Silat, and Tae Kwon Do. Every style has something unique to offer, and it is my passion to share this knowledge with others.
But as Bruce Lee said in the quote above, knowing is not enough. Whatever your goals may be, whether they pertain to fitness, stunt work, self-defense, or simply recreation; Snake and Vine Martial Arts is dedicated to helping you reach them through personalized training. We provide one-on-one private sessions that will be specifically geared towards your ambitions to ensure you are getting the high quality training you're looking for, regardless of your experience level.
Andre started his martial arts training with the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do when he was 7 years old. After competing at both state and national level tournaments and obtaining his black belt when he was 15, Andre began branching out to explore new styles. Eventually, he found himself studying Jeet Kune Do and South East Asian Martial Arts (SEAMA) under Guro Dan Inosanto. Under the direct teaching of Guro Inosanto, Andre earned his brown belt in Filipino Martial Arts and his purple ikat in Silat.
Although most of his Muay Thai knowledge can be attributed to Guro Inosanto as well, Andre has also trained at other gyms like Way of No Way and Boxing Works, one of the best striking schools in all of Southern California.
In addition to his martial arts experience, Andre has worked alongside several professionals in the entertainment industry as both stunt coordinator and stunt performer.
